Rating: Three gold leaves. Pretty good.

This campground is located very close to Ausable Chasm; save your receipt, and you will even get a discount on admission.

There is a pool, though the Web site makes it look much larger than it really is. The area is relatively clean, with the exception of the bathrooms, which I felt compelled to clean before using them. The showers have hot water, but they are very small, and though there were electrical outlets in the bathrooms, they seemed to have no current.

The sites are large with fire pits (no grills, so bring your own or a stove) and adequately maintained.
There is a resident raccoon that vandalizes the campsites at the wood line in the evening, so lock all of your food and valuables in the car. He is not the least bit intimidated by yelling or stick waving, so just accept his presence and hide your stuff.

Overall we had a great time, in most part because we spent most of our time hiking and exploring Ausable Chasm.
