Bailiwicks Fine Restaurant Wine & Martini Bar Guest Review submitted by: travelintrees Rating: Five Gold Leaves. The best!
Phenomenal food, beautiful atmosphere, great servicewe loved it all! Bailiwicks is located in the lower level of historic Thayers Inn in Littleton, New Hampshire. The side alley entrance is unassuming, but you open the door and WOW; it's like you've discovered the best kept secret in town! This is clearly the place to be. The first thing that hit us upon opening the door was the great décor: warm, deep copper-colored walls, rustic wood beams, great artwork, leather chairs, twinkling amber lights. The room buzzed with warmth and energy. We felt like we were in Boston or New York. The food was incredible from start to finish! The menu, focusing on Contemporary American cuisine with a $9-$25 price range, had so much to choose from. I had housemade Seafood Cakes as an appetizer, a house salad with a delicious homemade charred-tomato vinaigrette and a Wasabi & Sesame Encrusted Tuna for my main course. My wife had the Bella Vista Filet, cooked perfectly and paired with an unbelievable lobster risotto. The first bite made us swoon and it never let up. Great wine list and fun martinis, and the service was exceptional. No wonder this restaurant is getting such buzz: Bailiwicks has perfected what dining out should be. Everything was done right. Definitely a gemif you're anywhere near the North Country, don't pass it up! Reservations are definitely recommended. We were lucky to get in because of a last-minute cancellation. Bailiwicks is open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner, and we were told they do a fabulous Sunday brunch. |
